Not often am I moved to tears but that did it!! I agree with the partial responsibility of my grey hair lies with you but all is forgiven. To see you so happy with Will and baby Robert is more than any mum could wish for (but the Mountain Dew will be graciously accepted!) Looking forward to my next baby sitting opportunities, stinky nappies included! lots of love mum x x x

Rachel! It's almost time to give birth to your first child! How exciting for you and Will!

My first birth was a wonderful experience! I started labor while at work and just wrote down each contraction. My boss wanted me to go home, but I stayed until 5pm. We went to Jay's parent's house and had a nice steak dinner. (Hindsight...don't each a big meal if you know you are in labor as it all came up later!) We went home & called the OB and were instructed to keep a record of the contractions and come into the hospital once they were 5 minutes apart for an entire hour. We checked in at 11pm and I was 7.5 centimeters dialated! I had no pain medications, practiced the Lamaze breathing techniques ( we took a 4 week course during month 8), pushed for 2-3 hours and Lee was born, healthy & happy at 8 pounds 5.5 ounces. One mistake: I screamed during the first transition contraction & the nurse said to not scream again because it caused the contractions to hurt worse...so I didn't! :-) It was a beautiful, positive experience & makes me smile each time I remember. Praying for you and Will as you embark on this adventure of parenthood!
