Last Sunday I reached the “full term” stage of my pregnancy – 37 weeks. Tomorrow I will be 38 weeks pregnant! I cant believe how fast time has flown. The last 9 months have disappeared behind me in a whirlwind of clients, mini vacations with my husband and spending time with friends.
I have been extremely lucky so far with my pregnancy, I had a few scares early on which resulted in two trips to the emergency room (Once at Landsthul, Germany and once at The Royal Surrey, England.) I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, which is diet controlled, but it has not caused me problems so far, I even avoided various colds and bugs that my husband brought home-that is until now. So now I am foggy headed and runny nosed, I always think it could be worse though, and I would love to sit and complain, but I cant. Too many people have much scarier and tougher problems to face than a head cold and pricking fingers to test my blood glucose levels everyday.
Just within my photography club, two ladies had premies, and one man’s daughter was in a traffic accident she has two broken wrists, brain swelling as well as other injuries. It puts my little head cold (no matter how yuk I feel) and diet watching into perspective. – I keep those friends in my thoughts.
I am almost caught up with all my editing, my last client should receive their online gallery information by Monday, My hospital bag is pretty much packed and I am ready when Baby Baine is ready.
I have a doula to help me though my birth, if you dont know what a doula is take a look at her website and testimonials… she is a lovely lady with two boys of her own. Not only is she a doula, but as with most people I know she is a photographer too, so this means both mine and my husbands relatives will get to see good pictures (as well as our iphone pictures) of the freshly born baby Baine. http://nurturingpassagedoula.com/
I have one more page to promote before I get back to cooking my dinner and editing pictures: Raglens Creations, Its a brand new page for business owners….
Lastly two pictures which are a little different from my usual work… from my most recent session:

With just 4 weeks and 3 days to go until my due date I am avidly practicing and listening to my HypBirt CD’s. HypBirth is hopefully going to be my number one tool to get me though a non medicated delivery. (plus my husband and doula of course)
Before I decided to do my HyBirth practice I put some chicken in the oven to bake, chicken is a great no carb snack for me during the day when I get hungry (I have gestational diabetes and have to limit my carb intake). So I put my chicken in the oven to cook.
One of the great things about Hypbirth is it takes you to a very relaxed state of mind where you loose your self, So I shut my self in my office and listened to my CD. After a very relaxing and informative 40 minutes I opened my office door and smelt a slight burning, To start with I thought I had left the stove on from dinner, I turned on the kitchen light and saw nope I had completely forgotten that I put the chicken in to cook. I had actually put the chicken in to cook about an hour prior to starting the HypBirth. So big ooops! and a big waste!
Over the next few weeks I am limiting the amount of sessions I take on, I find I need about a day to recover, before I can even start on editing as I get extremely tiered and sore. I will be doing more fun things with my camera that include me sitting down and working on a few projects that I have been trying to find time for. One project involves a fish tank… but thats all im going to say about that!
Im currently working on editing two sessions, an adorable baby girl and a cute little baby boy, Both have sleep smiles going on. See their cuteness below!
